n (context|military ranks) The second-lowest junior officer rank ("OF-2") in the Finnish defence forces. The official English translation used by the army and air force is
lieutenant; and by the navy,
lieutenant junior grade. The corresponding rank in the US Navy is lieutenant and in the UK Royal Navy it is
sub-lieutenant.
